Producer/Director, WESH TV, Daytona Beach/ Orlando, FL — 1976 - 1985
This was my first job out of college. I started out as a production assistant / camera operator. Within the first year I was promoted to Director. I was responsible for directing locally originated news programs, public affairs programing, commercial production, live programs, and remote productions.
Owner, Beachwood Productions — 1985 - 2006
I made the decision to leave WESH and start my own production company in 1985, becoming the first full time production company to serve the Daytona Beach area. After a substantial investment in hardware we provided production services to Lockheed Martin, Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR, ESPN, and many local customers. We continued to offer full service video production in Daytona Beach Florida until 2004. I continue to operate Beachwood Productions as freelance service provider.
Production manager for Dealman Advertising. Woodstock GA. - June 2006 - 2007
I was approached by a startup advertising agency Dealman Advertising to setup and run their production department. I was responsible for spec'ing out and installing our editing suites and IT network. In addition I was responsible for systems configuration and maintenance, remote location videography, editing, motion graphics, DVD authoring, and compression for web.
Free Flite Bicycles - 2007 - 2011
As an avid bicycle enthusiast I was approached by an old acquaintance of mine to work part time at one of the largest Trek bicycle dealers in the Atlanta area. I had never worked in retail before but found this experience to very educational. I continued there until November of 2011. I left at this time to devote more of my time to developing my freelance business and to continue working with new emerging technologies, and independent films.
Freelance Production 2007 - present
At this time I am continuing to work freelance. I provide services as a DP, camera operator, lighting director, audio, editing, compositing, effects, delivery and distribution. I have embraced the emerging technologies including the use of DLSR cameras in film making.
